RecycleMania results are in!

We recycled like champs and improved since last year. We recycled almost 1 pound of paper per person during the competition. That’s right folks, One Ton of paper. We earned a first place in the Waste Generation category of the Basketball Game Day Challenge. Great job Panthers!

It's Spring!  Time to get the garden ready!

Megan is busy plowing up the garden and preparing for planting. The annual plant sale starts today at 12:30 and ends at 5pm. Same hours for tomorrow! We have a selection of heirloom tomatoes and flowers. Stop by at the Titmus Agriculture Center to purchase plants!

Celebrate Water This Week March 18, 2013

We have exciting week of water themed programs. Join us if you can!
Tuesday 7 pm in Garber 106 we are showing the film Poisoned Waters.
Thursday 7 pm in Garber 106, we have a special session with and a showing of Water on the Table with Ferrum Alum Dr. Rea, EPA Safe and Sustainable Water Resources Research team.
Saturday 10 am meet in Hart Plaza for stream cleaning! Volunteers will be treated to a bbq lunch.

 Things have been slow around here with the students gone for Spring Break.  Next week, we have a lot to look forward to with two exciting speakers.  On Tuesday night, we will have Dr. Ryan Aylesworth talking to us about Audobon International’s Sustainable Communities Program at 7pm in Garber 106.  On Thursday at 11AM in the Panther’s Den, we will are hosting Liliana Madrigal from the Amazon Conservation Team which she founded with her husband Dr. Mark Plotkin.  Clear your calendar and come listen to these global leaders.Photo of RyanLiliana-mid
